GOLONDRINA was built in 1968 as a racing Sloop (RORC One ton class – design N° 1922) by Cantieri Carlini which was, at that time, the principal builders in Italy of S&S.
Her first owner was Charles Holland who participated in most of the Mediterranean races in many of which Golondrina (at that time named Ojalà) was a winner. She was twice Champion of the Mediterranean 1970 and 1971, 1st in the Giraglia race 1971, she has competed in the Admiral’s Cup 1971 ranking 12th.

The current owner (since 1972) has been racing from 1994 to 2007 getting always good results: 1st in Vele d’Epoca di
Imperia races 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2000 – 2nd in in Vele d’Epoca di Imperia races 2004 and 2006 -1st in Nioulargue
race in Saint Tropetz 1995 – 2nd in Prada Veteran Boat Rally races in Porto Cervo 1997 and 1999 – 1st in Trofeo Mario Formenton races in Porto Raphael 1997 and 2001, 2nd in Trofeo Mario Formenton race in Porto Raphael 1999 – 1st in Trofeo Luigi Durand De La Penne in La Spezia 2000, 2001 and 2004 – 2nd in Trofeo Luigi Durand De La Penne in La Spezia 2003 and 2007 – 1st in Trofeo Carlini race … – 2nd in Trofeo Carlini race in 1999.

GOLONDRINA fu costruita nel 1968 come sloop da regata (classe RORC One ton – progetto N° 1922) dai Cantieri Carlini che, all’epoca, erano i principali costruttori di S&S in Italia. Il suo primo armatore fu Charles Holland, che partecipò alla maggior parte delle regate del Mediterraneo, in molte delle quali GOLONDRINA (all’epoca chiamata Ojalà) fu vincitrice. È stata due volte Campione del Mediterraneo 1970 e 1971, 1° nella regata della Giraglia 1971, ha partecipato all’Admiral’s Cup 1971 classificandosi 12°.
L’attuale proprietario (dal 1972) ha regatato dal 1994 al 2007 ottenendo sempre buoni risultati: 1° nelle Vele d’Epoca di Imperia 1994, 1996, 1998 e 2000 – 2° nelle Vele d’Epoca di Imperia 2004 e 2006 -1° nella Nioularguerace di Saint Tropetz 1995 – 2° nelle Prada Veteran Boat Relly di Porto Cervo 1997 e 1999 – 1° nel Trofeo Mario Formenton di Porto Raphael 1997 e 2001, 2° nel Trofeo Mario Formenton a Porto Raphael 1999 – 1° nel Trofeo Luigi Durand De La Penne a La Spezia 2000, 2001 e 2004 – 2° nel Trofeo Luigi Durand De La Penne a La Spezia 2003 e 2007 – 1° nel Trofeo Carlini
